Iāve talked about my affection for QR codes in the past and how I no longer carry business cards, but I had a sad realization on our last team mailer. š We had beautifully designed door hangers with a strong call to action that involved a QR code that redirected consumers to a āWhatās My Home Worthā tool on our website.
Simple enough, right?
Nope. š
I failed to consider that many people will scan the code, but the number that will actually fill out the form is very small. ā
I want to know who scanned what and when.
This began my hunt for dynamic QR codes. ā¬ļø
Similar to website visitors that start the process of the āWhatās My Home Worthā tool on our website, if the customer puts in their address and doesnāt complete the process with their contact information, I still want to know their address so we can reach out.

The headlines were everywhere this past week regarding borrowers with higher credit scores being āpenalizedā for having good credit. ā Agents across the country were flying off the rails and posting sensationalized links for debate.
Iām not here for a debateā¦weāre not going to change the policy, but I am here to educate. š
Rather than me trying to explain, Iāll leave it to an expert! Max Snyder, with PrimeLending, made a great video explaining how the changes impact buyers. ā¬ļø

Letās face it: as a real estate agent, you canāt please everyone. No matter how hard you try, there will always be that one client who leaves you a bad review. š But don't let it get you down! Hereās how to turn them into growth opportunities. ā¬ļø
Step 1: Take a deep breath, and donāt take it personally āŗļø
The first step in dealing with a bad review is to take a deep breath and not take it personally. Remember, youāre not perfect, and mistakes are okay. Instead of getting defensive or angry, take a step back and look at the situation objectively.
Step 2: Respond in a professional manner š
Itās important to respond to bad reviews in a professional manner. Avoid being defensive or confrontational; acknowledge the clientās concerns and work towards an amicable solution. We all know this isnāt always possible and certainly doesnāt mean apologizing if you did nothing wrong just to save face.
Step 3: Learn from the experience š§
As difficult as it may be, bad reviews can be a learning opportunity. Take the time to reflect on the situation and think about what you could have done differently. Were there any miscommunications? Was there anything you could have done to prevent the issue from arising in the first place.
Use the experience as an opportunity to improve your services and prevent similar issues from happening in the future.
Step 4: Encourage positive reviews š§
One of the best ways to combat bad reviews is to encourage positive ones. Reach out to your satisfied clients and ask them to leave a review. Positive reviews not only help counteract negative ones but also provide social proof of your services.
Step 5: Keep your head up š
Remember, bad reviews are a part of doing business. Donāt let them get you down or discourage you from doing what you love. Use them as an opportunity to improve and grow and keep providing exceptional service to your clients.

Facebook has created this free tool to market yourself on their platform easily.
Meta Business Suite offers everything you need for social media marketing, including scheduling upcoming posts, monitoring results of ad campaigns, reading / responding to inbox messages, and creating ads all in one dashboard. š
No need to sign up for anything, either. If you have a Facebook account, everything is connected and set up in your Meta Business Suite.
Okay, now let's get more visitors to your websiteā¦ā¬ļø
The tools in Meta Business Suite allow you to create an ad that will directly link to your website. Meta Business Suite offers a very user friendly, simplistic way for ad creation.
To accomplish this, follow the steps below.
Enter Meta Business Suite
Click on the Ads tab on the left side of your screen
Click āCreate Adā on the top right
Select āChoose a Goal,ā then select āGet Website Visitorsā
You can replace the image with a graphic of your choice as well as ad text that you will create yourself, then insert your website URL located under the āheadlineā title
Choose the demographics intended for this ad. Including location, age range, and interests. (Some of these options will be eliminated due to fair housing)
Select your budget and duration. I would recommend $10 a week starting out.
Next, under placements. Select where you would like your ad to be displayed. The great thing about Facebook owning Instagram is you can run ads simultaneously on Facebook and Instagram.
Confirm and submit
Some tips I would recommend for making a successful Facebook ad includeā¦
When using images, make sure the images are bright š, professional, and if including words, very legible.
Appealing to your demographic. Different people will be drawn to different things. If the demographic you are targeting is first time home buyers, the ads that will draw their attention will be vastly different than empty nesters.
Make your audience feel like they are VIPās. Offer them something exclusive that would be stupid of them not to click. Whether that is an exclusive list of homes or a first-look listing, make them feel major FOMO š if they donāt click. (Fear of missing out)
Create an engaging call to action. Spend your time researching compelling calls to action to use on your ad. Brainstorm, test, and monitor different calls to actions you have used. It is okay to experiment and test out different types of ads. You could be surprised at what works. šÆ
