[H]ow To: Let ChatGPT Grow Your Business
[T]echnology
Zillow upped the ante in the home search game with its integration of ChatGPT.
Are you paying attention yet? š
Zillow's ChatGPT is not just a fancy add-on; it's a wake-up call for real estate agents. By leveraging AI, Zillow has created a seamless, personalized search experience that clients will love. š If you want to stay competitive and stand out in the crowd, it's time to take note and embrace AI.
AI isn't just a buzzword; it's a game-changer. š„
By incorporating AI into your real estate business, you can provide your clients with unparalleled insights and assistance. From analyzing market trends and predicting property values to offering personalized recommendations, AI will give you everything you can possibly need to create content. (See the āHow Toā section below). ā¬ļø
Zillow's integration of ChatGPT technology has raised the bar in the real estate industry, and theyāre only the first of many. To compete with Zillow and meet the expectations of clients, youāve got to embrace AI. Remember, youāre not just competing with the agent down the street. Youāre competing for attention with the likes of Zillow, Apple, Google, Nike, etc. š²
Iāve said it once, and Iāll say it again. AI wonāt replace agents, but agents utilizing AI will replace those not using it.
[E]ducation:
Every single day, I see people post and say dumb things online. š
Most recently, I saw a plague of social media posts with idiots driving over and blowing up cases of Bud Light.
I donāt care how passionate you are about politics, religion, or whatever your opinion is on this weekās trending clickbait headline. If youāre the type of person that posts this kind of thing online, Iām sure you donāt care about my opinions either.
Iām sure you could flip the conversation and say you only want to work with like-minded clients, but being that this is the educational section, I just wanted to take this opportunity to remind agents that the NAR hate speech guidelines apply to your personal social media as well. š āāļø
Hereās the information directly from NAR:
The Board of Directors discussed that a REALTORĀ®ās speech and conduct reflect on the REALTORĀ® organization whether said publicly on a business social media profile, or privately on a personal one. According to the Preamble of the Code of Ethics, REALTORSĀ® should be guided by the spirit of the Golden Rule of treating others as one would like to be treated. š When a REALTORĀ® pledges to abide by the Code of Ethics, the highest principles and ethics of REALTORSĀ® must followed in all their activities, and cannot be abandoned in a profession dedicated to protecting the best interests of consumers.
Put simply, when one REALTORĀ® engages in discriminatory speech and conduct, those actions demonstrate to consumers that they represent the actions of REALTORSĀ® collectively. The REALTORĀ® brand is built on ethics and integrity. šDiscriminatory speech and conduct to the contrary depletes the strength of that brand. It is incumbent upon our organization to set the bar high, and communicate those elevated standards, to protect the REALTORĀ® brand and ensure its strength endures for years to come.
Additionally, these policies do not mean that the Code of Ethics would apply in all portions of a REALTORĀ®ās personal life, as many of the Codeās provisions are specifically tied to real estate and real estate transactions.
C]oaching:
In the world of real estate, dealing with difficult agents may seem like a daunting task, but it is, unfortunately, inevitable. š„² Here are some tips to navigate these challenging situations like a seasoned pro:
Keep Calm and Professional
When faced with a difficult agent, it's crucial to maintain your composure and professionalism. Take a deep breath, put on your game face, and respond gracefully. Remember, it's not personal; it's business. š By staying calm and collected, you'll project confidence and maintain control of the situation.
Communicate, Communicate, Communicate
Effective communication is the key to resolving conflicts with difficult agents. Establish clear lines of communication from the outset and keep the conversation focused on the task at hand. Be proactive in sharing updates and information, and address any concerns promptly. Remember to listen actively and seek resolution through constructive dialogue. š¬
Seek Common Ground
Finding common ground with difficult agents can help establish rapport and foster a more collaborative working relationship. Ever heard the saying, āKeep your friends close but your enemies closerā? This is why networking events are so important. You may find āthat difficult agentā is actually not too bad to hang out with, and your next deal might go smoother. š
Set Boundaries and Stand Your Ground
It's essential to set clear boundaries and assert your position when necessary. Be firm but professional in expressing your expectations, deadlines, and non-negotiables. By doing so, you establish your professionalism and ensure that your clients' best interests are protected. š”ļø
Seek Support and Vent Strategically
No one expects you to handle everything alone. Reach out to your manager or brokerā¦venting strategically can help release frustrations and help you gain perspective. Be sure to keep these venting sessions confidential. These types of conversations arenāt for water cooler talk. ā
Remember, navigating difficult agents is a skill that can be honed over time. By staying calm, communicating effectively, seeking common ground, setting boundaries, seeking support, and learning from the experience, you'll be better equipped to tackle any challenges that come your way. Stay confident, stay professional, and on the flip side, remember that you were a new agent once as well. š
[H]ow To:
I will preach ChatGPT continuously, so you might as well get used to it. š This is solely because the real estate agents that donāt start using AI will be the ones left behind. (Just look at Zillow AI) And if you really love your job, Iād recommend you donāt let that happen. š
Here is what you need to know about utilizing artificial intelligence to grow your businessā¦ ā¬ļøā¬ļøā¬ļø
STOP WRITING YOUR LISTINGS DESCRIPTIONS.
Do yourself a huge favor and never write a listing description. Ever. Again. šš Chat GPT gives you a great starting point for your descriptions. All you have to do is quite literally ask ChatGPT to write a listing description and include the address. BOOM done. It will automatically create a grammatically correct listing description that you can continue to tweak to make it sound more like you. I do recommend fact checking because ChatGPT can be incorrect about some of the information included in the listing description. ā¬ ļøā¬ ļø
WRITE SCRIPTS.
Donāt know what to film about? Ask ChatGPT. Have no idea what to say? Ask ChatGPT. Filming videos has never been easier, the content is handed to you on a platter, š½ļø and all you have to do is plop yourself in front of the camera.
BLOGS AND CONTENT CREATION.
Blogging is a great way to provide value and build trust with potential clients. The real reason many agents werenāt using blogging as a technique for marketing their business was because of how time-consuming ā° it was. Now all you have to do is ask ChatGPT to write a 500-word blog about a subject you think clients would find interesting, and youāre done. However, I would recommend going through and adding your own voice/style by editing a few words.
FIND THE RIGHT KEYWORDS.
The word SEO tends to get many people confused. What even is it? Basically, keywords help improve your SEO, and SEO is how clients are going to find you. The better the keywords, the higher you rank, and the more people will visit your page. People used to spend hours figuring out the best keywords to use; now, all you have to do is ask ChatGPT. š¤Æ The best places to include keywords would be the URL, captions, titles, descriptions, and title tags.
COPYWRITING.
We arenāt famous authors. We wear many hats, š¤ but why not let AI take over writing? Iām sure you donāt enjoy it, or maybe you do? ChatGPT can write emails, texts, social media captions, website copy, and ad copywriting. Basically, anything written can be done. Why not let AI take over and use the extra time to better help your business? š° If you donāt like what it writes, ask ChatGPT to rewrite it, make it more humorous, and add some spice. Better yet, ask ChatGPT to add emojis and hashtags for extra traction.
People are scared of what AI can do. I get it. But use this new age of AI as a way to help increase your business.š°š° Let the computer do the work you never wanted to and spend that extra time improving your business or spending time with your family. Stay on top of technology before you are the old, š“ out-of-touch person in the office constantly asking for tech help. Donāt be that person.
