Lucky to Be in the Room
š¤[T]echnology: Inspections, Reports, and AI - Oh My!

[T]echnology:
I tried out Claude AIās new ācomputer useā where it takes over your computer and can do everything for you.
The immediate impression was āOh Myā¦ā but that faded quickly when I burned through my credits in less than 5 minutes even with a heft allowance, and still didnāt complete the task I assigned. š
Then I stumbled upon this video:
I know itās not all-encompassing, but think of the use for home inspectors, contractors, reports, and even listing descriptions (Iāve already covered generating these from photos).
In the next 12 months, AI will change our lives and if youāre not embracing it, you will be replaced by someone who does. šØ
[E]ducation:
I donāt even remember where I downloaded this photo from, but as an advocate to ānever stop learning,ā I thought the education section this week would benefit from some book recommendations.
Letās be clear, I donāt readā¦I listen to these on Audible, but thatās how I best digest contentā¦watching or listening. šļøš
Needless to say, these are on my list to finish in the next year.
What are your favorite business related books?

[C]oaching:
Iāve said it before and Iāll say it again. If youāre the smartest person in the room, maybe itās time to find another room.
This past Monday, I had the chance to join Tad Fulford, Nimesh Patel, and Charlie Foxworth for an incredible Rise Up in Real Estate.
I can assure you, there are more than just a few nuggets to take away from this Town Hall.
I was just lucky to be in the room. š

Instagram recently unveiled a new feature that makes sharing your profile much easier. Instead of telling someone your @handle, you simply navigate to your page and click āShare Profile.ā A QR code and a ādigital business cardā will pop up, which you can share in person or download to post or attach to any printed materials. š
On the topic of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, recently confirmed that the platform saves high video quality only for popular videos. What does this mean? š¤ If youāre wondering why your video quality significantly drops after uploading, this is the reason. If a video isnāt getting views after a certain amount of time, Instagram will downgrade it to a lower quality. However, if the video starts gaining views again, Instagram will restore it to a higher quality. Which if Iām being honest is VERY SILLY. š I know they only have certain bandwidth, but of course my video wonāt be performing well if you downgrade the quality.
Adam also mentioned that including your own logo in a video is acceptable and wonāt reduce your videoās visibility. HOWEVER, this does not apply to logos from competitors, such as TikTok.
If you didnāt already know hereās something to keep in mind: If you create a video on TikTok and repurpose it with your TikTok handle or the TikTok outro when uploading to Instagram, the platform will ensure that your video underperforms. Why? Itās simple-TikTok is Instagramās biggest competitor, and they want to avoid any form of advertising for it. ā
How do you work around it? Always save your video BEFORE posting to TikTok. This will save the video without the TikTok handle. If you post and save after there really isnāt much you can do to get rid of it. ALWAYS SAVE BEFORE POSTING!
