[T]echnology:

Just when I thought I couldnā€™t love my Ray-Ban Metas any more than I already do, they surprised me again.

Quick backstoryā€”I actually lost them for a few months after a wedding, only for my wife to eventually find them stashed in a suit jacket pocket (Iā€™m the worst at keeping track of things like that šŸ˜…).

But seriously, these glasses are fantastic for daily wear. I can snap quick photos or videos of my kids at sports, or capture cool spots around town to share with clients. Theyā€™re kind of like my Tesla šŸš— in that they keep improving over time, thanks to software updates. Whoā€™d have thought a pair of glasses could get better every month?

The latest update is particularly impressive. Now, you can simply say, ā€œHey Meta, remind me of this later,ā€ and the glasses will take a snapshot of whatever youā€™re looking at and send you a reminder at the specified time ā°.

I tested it out when I needed to remind myself to send an email at 1 PM. This feature is a game-changer for all those times I see something I want to remember but would forget otherwise.

If youā€™re looking for a versatile piece of tech, whether for capturing B-roll footage or even going live, these glasses are the perfect tool. Theyā€™re definitely my top tech pick of 2024-despite getting them last year!

[E]ducation:

You may be thinking the same that as soooooo many agents...WTF do you mean interest rates just went up...I thought the Fed cut the rate last month...

Well, they did.

[C]oaching:

In my marketing strategy, I like to draw inspiration from outside the real estate bubble šŸŒ.

Letā€™s be honestā€”sometimes the same old ideas start to feel a bit stale. There are tons of brilliant marketers out there, like Gary Vaynerchuk, who think differently and are honestly on a whole other level compared to a lot of traditional real estate coaches.

So, when I stumbled upon this YouTube video, I had to dive in. Itā€™s an interview between Codie Sanchez, who tells these incredible success stories from unexpected businesses, and Joshua Weissman, a chef Iā€™ve followed for a while now. I love his cooking style and sense of humor.

One thing that struck me was Joshā€™s perspective on hard work šŸ’Ŗ. He acknowledges that there might be chefs out there with more technical skill, but heā€™s determined no one will outwork him.

Successful creators like him have fully embraced social media, tailoring their content to the short attention spans of platforms like YouTube and TikTok. The days of TV chef stardom are fading, and now itā€™s all about whoā€™s got the humor, the catchy content, and the production skills to make it in the digital space.

šŸŽ‰ I highly recommend checking out this interview. Even if itā€™s just for entertainment, there are some solid takeaways here that could inspire your own marketingā€”fresh ideas from outside our industry that just might be the shake-up you need.

[H]ow To: With Abby

In any business, time is money šŸ’°. This is especially true in real estate because you donā€™t get paid a regular salary. The time you dedicate and the income you earn is truly all on you, which can be both intimidating and empowering.

Utilize Tools šŸ› ļø

What? Are we talking about AI AGAIN? Absolutely! Letā€™s get the obvious one out of the wayā€”ChatGPT šŸ¤–. If you arenā€™t using itā€¦why not? I probably use ChatGPT over twenty times a day. Now, letā€™s cover some less obvious options. Whatever you need, just Google "AI tool for [your need]," and I promise something will pop up worth trying.

Prioritize Better āœ…

Take a close look at what youā€™re doing each day and assess the return. Remember, time is money. If the financial return isnā€™t there, consider letting it go. If itā€™s something you still want to do, refer back to step one and see if AI can help, or consider outsourcing it.

Protect Your Time ā³

You donā€™t owe anyone an explanation for how you spend your time. This is something Iā€™m working on myself. ā€œNoā€ is enough. When your hours seem like 24/7, itā€™s easy to feel pressure to be constantly available. But rememberā€”youā€™re a business. Businesses have set hours, and you can too.

Plan Ahead šŸ›Œ

You need work-life balance, especially in an industry without set hours. Burnout is real, and when it hits, productivity goes out the window. So, take time for yourself. Sleep, take vacations, and enjoy life!
