[T]echnology:

Sora is here! Well, sort of…

This week, OpenAI announced that Sora would be launched for public use, but OpenAI didn’t anticipate the demand and quickly shut down new sign-ups. 😞

If you have no idea what I’m talking about, Sora will allow you to create videos up to 10 seconds long with a simple prompt.

So what can you use it for?

Luckily, I finally got access…here are some use cases:

Create a fun commercial - 😜

Don’t have a drone license? Create B-Roll footage -

Much like the early videos of Will Smith eating spaghetti, it’s kind of chaotic, but my gosh, it will only get better.

[E]ducation:

I may sound crazy to those who aren’t embracing or trying to understand AI, but if you don’t believe me, maybe you’ll believe one of the best marketers on the planet…

This will already be a pretty long Tech with Ty, so I will leave it at that for the education section. See below for how to get started with AI.

[C]oaching:

Maybe tech isn’t your thing, or you feel like you’re getting left behind, first with NAR changes, now you’re bombarded with all of this AI talk.

When I say, AI won’t replace agents. Agents that use it will…let me put this in perspective…⬇️⬇️⬇️

I won’t get into the implications this has on cryptocurrency or the internet and security as we know it. I’m simply saying technology is moving faster than ever, and you’ve got to start somewhere.

Want a one-on-one with me to find out how AI can impact your business?

We’ll review your current business and identify small tweaks you can make utilizing AI to assist in your day-to-day tasks.

It’s completely free. No sales pitch.

However, I only have so many hours in the day, so this is limited to the first ten agents.

What have you got to lose?

[H]ow To: With Abby

As of now, TikTok is the fourth-largest social media app in the United States. Even with a possible ban on the horizon, it’s still worth discussing for the potential replacement that could be in the future.

What is my TikTok strategy going into 2025? 🤔

Posting Schedule

There’s a common belief that you need to post multiple times daily to gain traction. That’s not necessarily true. Realistically, most of us don’t have the time to post five videos a day unless content creation is our sole job. On average, accounts with 50,000 followers or more post six times per week—roughly once a day—which is my goal for 2025. 🙌

Length of Videos

This one surprised me. According to a study by Metricool, the videos with the most views are typically 2–5 minutes long. There are a few reasons for this. First, TikTok is evolving into more of a YouTube-like platform. Tutorial videos, storytime content, and informative clips tend to perform well because they offer value to viewers. People are looking for content that provides something meaningful in return.

Engagement

How do people engage on TikTok? Through likes and shares. Unlike other social media platforms, TikTok users don’t leave comments as frequently. Instead, they show interest by sharing videos with friends or liking them to revisit later. So, if you’re not receiving tons of comments, don’t stress—it’s not the main engagement metric on TikTok. ❤️

How People Find You

Gary Vee recently pointed out that your follower count matters very little on TikTok. A staggering 78% of people discover videos through the For You Page (FYP), while only 1.3% find content through their following list. To land on the FYP, focus on keywords. Want to appear on a first-time home buyer FYP? Use keywords they’re likely searching for in your descriptions, thumbnails, and hashtags.

Posting Times

Obviously, no one is filming TikToks at 2am, but it’s helpful to have pre-recorded videos ready to post during peak times. Keep a stash of drafts so you can post strategically without scrambling.

At the end of the day, we don’t truly know what will happen to TikTok. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind a new platform taking its place, as it would be much easier to skyrocket your account with less saturation. However, in the meantime, TikTok remains a widely used platform that I need to focus on.
